Sorry

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to post this, but at this date, I can see there's not much hope. We're not going to be able to do gifts for everyone this year. I'm really sorry, and I know y'all know we love you and all that, and you probably don't care anyhow, I just wanted to let you know ahead of time.

Blah.

I could make you each a pumpkin pie, though. Honestly, I make darn fine pie. :)

Seriously, though. We love you all, and I'm just so happy to be back in Michigan with (most of) you, that just makes Christmas wonderful to me, no matter what the financial situation.

Dear Carrie,

We all know that Christmas is a time of gift giving and yet we all stress out so much about it and miss the point completely. You don't need to apologize for not giving a packaged gift. Why not a wonderful letter with a poem or a 4x6 picture of you and the kids or a card with one of your paintings on it? Gifts from the heart are the best gifts of all regardless of the price tag.

You are such a wonderful mother and homemaker and we know how busy you are. So, don't stress about all of this and I will take a rain check on that darn fine pumpkin pie next time we visit you in Michigan.

Carrie, Greg and kids,

We miss you!! Glad I was finally able to get an addy for you. Please drop a note when possible. Tallman's just had number 2. Still have group shot from Christmas party 99, seems like an eternity ago.
