June 2004 Archives
Everyone at work comments on how calm I am, being so close to the wedding.
But inside I am so frazzled. Unfortunately for my boss, I have not gotten a lot
done lately...I just can't concentrate for more than 5 minutes!
Well, less now that the dress shop emailed me that they shipped it on Tuesday!
I cannot wait to see it!
Chad has noticed how stressed I am and has been helping clean the house. I feel
much better when I can walk through a room, rather than around all the boxes.
Plus, we'll have some people over this weekend.
I have this Master List at home, on a 2' by 4' pad of paper. It has helped a
lot to see things get crossed off.
I peeked at our registries today. There are still a lot of choices on there,
for anyone who hasn't bought us a present!! JK :) We don't really NEED a lot
of stuff. I felt very selfish registering for new stuff. However, I am very
excited that someone bought our pillows (the space foam ones). Actually I think
most of my favorite things have been purchased, so we are very blessed!
Good news! My best friend's dad is getting better! He went into the hospital
before Easter, with really bad case of pneumonia. He was barely hanging on for
a couple weeks there. Last night though, he talked! He's been hooked to a
ventilator for over two months, and has not been able to talk, eat, drink, etc.
It is a miracle. A while ago, we thought he might still be in the ICU by the
time of my wedding. Now there is actually a slim chance he might be able to
come!
God has answered so many of my prayers this week. I am so blessed. And so,
besides all that I named above, I know that God is on my side and I can feel Him
guiding me through stressful times. It makes everything else fade away.

15 Days left before I get married. I am excited but so nervous. I have gotten
a lot of things done in the last week, but there is still a lot left to do.
No word on my dress yet. The shop has assured me it will get here about 4 days
after they ship it, but I keep wondering whether it will get through customs in
time!
So, I'm wondering whether my dream will come true: walking down the aisle in
green silk pajama pants!
