A few months ago we would not have imagined Finnegan sleeping in his own bed and here we are. Last night was the second night in a row that he slept in his own bed in his own room. I was sad the first night that he was not sleeping next to me, but when I woke up and felt really rested my view changed. Then he did it again last night. I still miss seeing his beautiful face first thing in the morning, but today I went and woke him up and he was so happy. His little cherub face greeted me with a smile and he was ready for the day.

I love Finnegan so much!

Today is Finnegan's second birthday and he was all smiles and laughter when he woke us up this morning. Despite the cold that he has been struggling with the past couple of days, he was happy to be awake and ready to eat the birthday breakfast that his daddy had prepared for him.

We didn't have a birthday party today because I needed more time plan for it while Doug was away on a recruiting trip in Michigan. So, this year Nov. 12th will be the designated day of celebration.

We did treat Finnegan to some mexican food and later some cupcakes to mark this special occasion.

It's hard to believe that time has gone by so fast.
