I'd Better Get Crackin'...
There's babies on the way! I want my new little
nephew and nephew/niece to gurgle and coo in style, so I will be figuring out
something really cute to make for them. One is arriving relatively soon, so I'd
better get going.
The house stuff is moving right along. The closing
will not be today, as we had originally planned, but I hear that this stuff
happens all the time. The 31st was a highly optimistic date in the first place.
It will be soon, though, and we're so excited! Greg's already been
packing.
Off to lay Seth down for a nap!

I have one piece of advice. Make sure you bring enough money to the closing! When Chad and I closed, there were so many other transfer fees, and legal fees, and title fees, that we were $700 short! And of course, they only accept a personal check for up to $500. Luckily, they accepted our check, but had to call the bank to get them to clear it immediately, but it didn't look good for us. We had 80% of the mortgage under one loan, and had a check for the other 20% (another loan). But our closing costs that we fronted were around $5 grand.
Oops, that didn't come out. Our closing costs were around five grand.
