Changes
Michigan is having another hot summer. I remember last summer was so hot, I never wanted to take little Luke outside. But he is having a blast this summer.
This week, he started to dance (looks like running in place), and his molars broke through. But he's still a happy little guy. Anna, 11-yr-old across the street, comes over a lot now to play with him, and he loves the attention.
He'll be starting daycare soon, as soon as I can pick a place. I found two places I like, that I can afford. I think it will be really good for him to get used to other children before the new baby comes.
Unfortunately, the new baby will have to be in daycare a short time as well. Within the next year, I will be laid off. Since I'll get some pay during maternity leave, and a severance package, I'm going to stick it out until the plant closes. I'm praying it won't be too long into 2007 before the closure.
So, it's been a little stressful thinking about losing my job (even though I want to only have a Mommy job anyway), and very stressful thinking about leaving my kid with strangers at daycare. Add to that a second pregnancy...
But overall, it's pretty happy at the Yarrington's. Luke is such a joy, and we're excited to give him a sibling. And I know my prayers are being answered, although not in exactly the way I thought they would be. I know Luke will enjoy being with other kids, and learning and socializing; and my lay-off will allow me to stay home, at least for a while.

So glad to see you posting again, even though I made it a little harder! I hope to see some pictures of little Luke again soon too!
