October 2004 Archives
I realize I have only entered one or two blogs to the site. Actually
I tried to send two pictures of Grenade and Spoon, but they didn't
show up for some reason.... I guess in the past I have felt like I
didn't have anything interesting to write. For a long time I was
working a decent job, dating a decent guy, and living in a decent
place. Some things have greatly changed over the last two months.
Dad and I got a lot of inspiration from Doug Nancy and started
redecorating- and even remodeling- some parts of the house a couple of
weeks ago. We've already repainted the small half bath and one
upstairs bedroom; hopefully by the end of this week the dining room
will be red (no more old yellow wallpaper!) and the upstairs bathroom
will be finished with a new tub and shower surround, totally
refreshed!
After about two months of looking for my dream job, I fell into a job
with the City of Ann Arbor. I don't have my start date yet; I will be
doing a lot of analyzing computer data and bid drafting.
Unfortunately this is not my dream job. However, I'm very happy to
have found a job that will get me on my feet, and it's in my alma
mater-- Wolverine town. The drive might get to me, but I absolutely
love being in that city.
And of course, most of the family has met and heard lots about my new
boy Justin. Sara made a wonderful remark at Seth's birthday party
that I move really fast! To be perfectly honest, I did move really
fast between Nelson and Justin, and it's because I believe in seizing
good opportunities. I could tell right away that Justin is an amazing
person-- Nancy, the conversations are actually the best part! And he
really loves his mother. Although I have no big expectations about
what will happen in our future, I have really high hopes and a strong
feeling about this one.
