Woodland Park Zoo

Today Doug and Finn went to the zoo. It's walking distance from our house. They've got a "temperate forest" petting zoo area near the front with goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, and other assorted kid-interesting stuff like a bug house and spider house. We also saw tapirs, macaques, elephants, siamang monkeys, orangutangs, penguins, and more. The exhibits at Woodland park are really great; all are open air (with shelters for the animals who like it warmer) and above or below human-eye-level which gives them much more privacy.

Back on the tractor again...

Playing in the concrete "Habitrails". Finn loved these: just the right size caves for him, but too small for Daddy!

After much playing and lunch, it's time for a nap in the shade.

In the African village.

What's that fancy camera phone you have, Daddy?
