July 8, 2005 - Sitting up on his own

Finnegan and I went to playgroup and he sat up by himself. I was amazed because he just wasn't getting it. He was too wobbly and he lacked the confidence to stay up.

However, when we got to the play group and he saw the other babies sitting up on their own he stayed in the seated position and only fell over three times.

It's been two and a half weeks now and our lives have changed. I can leave Finnegan to play with his toys and he's content to sit by himself. Now I have the freedom to walk away for a few minutes at a time and get some things done around the house. The only thing is I have to surround him with pillows so he doesn't hit his head too hard when he falls over.

He's making such great progress.
Life is good.
